Questo show verrà ovviamente in seguito rilasciato in DVD, ma tale release verrà preceduta dalla messa in onda in PPV il prossimo 4 settembre:



Lo show così come la federazione mi interessa molto, poi Sapolsky dopo il lavoro fatto in ROH in tutti questi anni (senza contare l'esperienza in ECW con Paul E) sembra molto motivato a voler tentare di portare qualcosa di nuovo: speriamo ci riesca veramente, che non siano parole al vento.

Davvero interessante. Ho avuto più volte il piacere di guardare gli show della Dragon Gate jap (presi da pwt in gran parte), e lo spettacolo non è mai mancato.
Non sono un esperto, ma spero che lo stile rimanga lo stesso dell'originale DG (dovrebbe essere una sorta di "Lucharesu". In pratica basato molto sulle tecniche dei persi leggeri, ma con una forte ispirazione dal mondo della Lucha-libre messicana. Chiedo pietà se ho scritto una cazzata).

Sicuramente una nuova realtà da seguire con piacere.

Non so se hai presente quello che accadeva in Ring of Honor fino a poco tempo fa...oltre agli show normali venivano registrati dei PPV che poi andavano in onda 1 volta ogni 2 mesi.

Anche per questa nuova federazione è così, registrano lo show Sabato e lo mandano in PPV il 4 settembre e subito dopo rilasciano il DVD dell'evento. Le motivazioni penso che siano squisitamente dal punto di vista economico.

- Mike Quackenbush prende il microfono nel post-match e dice che negli uffici Dragon Gate in Giappone devono sapere che se avessero visto match come questo si renderebbero conto che loro e la CHIKARA sono come una famiglia allargata e sfida chiunque nel backstage a sostenere il contrario. Si presenta YAMATO che dopo aver fatto un breve promo attacca Quackenbush. L'owner della CHIKARA viene però difeso da Jigsaw che sopraggiunge in suo aiuto, arriva anche Gran Akuma...che però tradisce i suoi colleghi e si allea con YAMATO! Gli altri wrestlers della CHIKARA tentano di aiutare i compagni ma non riescono al primo tentativo, poi i babyface finalmente fanno piazza pulita sul ring e aiutano Quack.
Dawn Marie, la DGUSA Live Event Hostess dice che YAMATO le ha detto che non ha alcun rispetto nè per Quackenbush, nè per Jorge Rivera (allenatore di molti wrestlers DG e CHIKARA), nè per la CHIKARA.

Dopo il match Naruki Doi e Shingo Takagi, che accompagnavano i rispettivi partners, vanno faccia a faccia. A interromperli arriva 2 Cold Scorpio che si rivolge a Kid e Yoshino dicendo loro che lui era in questa arena quando Eddie Guerrero e Dean Malenko tirarono fuori un classico, ed è qui dove Psicosis e Rey Mysterio Jr. fecero la storia. Cori "ECW!" da parte del pubblico della The Arena. Scorpio dice che anche lui ha avuto dei classici contro Sabu in questo posto e dice che Kid e Yoshino sono la versione odierna di quei classici e lui e tutti i fans presenti stasera a questo show desiderano avere un rematch al più presto...Kid e Yoshino concordano.
Dawn Marie prende il microfono e annuncia che nel terzo show DGUSA che si terrà il 28 novembre di nuovo alla The Arena di Philadelphia ci sarà un torneo per decretare il primo DGUSA Open the Freedom Gate Champion.

Dragon Gate USA will crown its first champion on November 28th in Philadelphia at The Arena. The title will be known as the Open The Freedom Gate Championship. The first champ will be determined in a one night tournament on 11/28. The format of the tournament has been decided. There will be four matches in the first half of the show in Philly. The winners will advance to an elimination match main event. The last competitor remaining will make history by becoming the first Open The Freedom Gate Champion. There will also be non-tournament matches.

Brian Kendrick has earned the reputation as one of the most flamboyant and skilled competitors during his time on the independents as Spanky and then in WWE as one half of a tag team with Paul London and then as "The" Brian Kendrick. Now Kendrick brings his considerable charisma and adept abilities to Dragon Gate USA on September 6th in Chicago at the historic Congress Theater. Kendrick looks forward to wrestling with complete freedom. He has demanded a top name opponent in Chi-town. We will have news on his adversary early next week right here at DGUSA.tv.

There can only be one first Champion. The tournament is sure to feature the top athletes from both Japan and North America as they strive to put their name in the history books. We have some information on the format of the tournament. There will be four qualifying matches in the first half of the card. The four winners will then advance to the main event where they will compete in an elimination match. The final survivor will be the first Open The Freedom Gate Champion. There is word going around that the four qualifying matches might have some variety to them. We will have lots more information about this tourney after the 9/6 Chicago DGUSA debut.
