Here we go. EA marketing VP Patrick Buechner has dropped a not-so-subtle hint that a BioWare game is to be revealed at the incoming VGAs.
In response to a Geoff Keighley tweet about two exclusive announcements to be made regarding the event tomorrow, the exec replied, “Bioware fans pay attention”.

Mass Effect 3, or your money back. Keep watching. Several publishers chose the VGAs for big budget reveals last year. The 2009 version saw full-blown announcements of "Batman: Arkham City", "Halo: Reach", "True Crime: Hong Kong", "Medal of Honor" and more.

This year’s VGAs take place on December 11.

BioWare is teasing us to death with its reveal coming to the VGAs on December 11, and as if a teaser image wasn’t enough, now the company has tweeted a Quickmark.
The Quickmark is pictured above and can be translated to the following binary code: 001101010011010100101110001110000011010000110101.

RockPaperShotgun translated the binary to text, and it comes out with the atomic weight of iron with the numbers 55.845, which is the atomic weight of iron and as well all known iron makes steel.
Steel is also a word in “Shattered Steel” which is a 1996 BioWare game with mechs. Then there’s also these tweets from RPS:

Kotaku’s rumouring that the game BioWare teased yesterday with the image of a futuristic sniper is a multiplayer title set in the Mass Effect universe. According to the site’s source, the game’s not a mass shooter, but more in line with the multiplayer aspect of recent Call of Duty titles.

The game apparently features the same sort of multiplayer progression as Call of Duty, and will come with a single-player component featuring a character other than Mass Effect 1 and 2’s Commander Shepard.
As Kotaku notes, BioWare Montreal, which has aided in Mass Effect 2 development, was seeking multiplayer programmers earlier this year to “take existing single player user experiences and make them multiplayer safe”. BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk has also said that there will be more games set in the Mass Effect universe outside of the series’ main trilogy.

BioWare offered further teases on the title’s identity after releasing the image, publishing cryptic clues related to temperatures and, apparently, steel.

The new game will be aired at the VGAs on December 11.

Sony’s got something big to announce on December 12, so big, in fact, that it’s going to get its own event.

A teaser image received by Joystiq reveals that Sony is going to make a PS3-exclusive announcement on Sunday, December 12, the day following Spike’s VGA 2010.

The event’s taking place in Hollywood and will start at 2.00pm PST.
This is definitely going to be a biggie since Sony won’t be holding a separate event for nothing. Uncharted 3? Probably.

Looks like Valve may be teasing something related to the Left 4 Dead franchise during the VGAs next month.

While looking over the latest commercial for the Video Game Awards, in the “World Premiere” section, it teases not only a football game (NFL Blitz maybe?)and the now infamous BioWare Quickmark, but if you pause the video at 20 seconds in, you will see the image above.

At the bottom of the image, enlarged below, you will see it says 1 of 3.

Could it be an massive update to Left 4 Dead 2? Left 4 Dead 2 on PS3 and something to do with Sony’s “save the date” tease? The announcement of Left 4 Dead 3?

Who knows. It’s Valve after all. Maybe. Maybe not.

Bioware’s released yet another tease for it’s latest project, and this one seems to point to the website for the British Secret Intelligence.

According to some clever people on Bioware’s Facebook page, the image teased translates into binary code which points to the official website of the British Secret Intelligence Service. The game was first teased this week for a reveal at the VGAs on December 11.

Rumour has pointed to the title being some kind of multiplayer spin-off from the Mass Effect series.

Geoff Keighley has confirmed there will be at least ten premieres at next month’s Video Game Awards.

The event has already been confirmed to play host to premieres of "Batman: Arkham City" and a new BioWare project, which may be a Mass Effect-related game.
Guillermo Del Toro’s project with THQ, thought to be a sci-fi based trilogy, is also set for a reveal, as is Saints Row 3, according to the publisher’s core boss, Danny Bilson.
A zombie-based title and Uncharted 3 are rumoured for showings, with the latter possibly set to be the exclusive reveal from Sony at an event the day after the VGAs. Keighley said in a tweet:

“Lots more VGA news to come – probably 10 more premieres still to reveal. What would you like to see?”

Everything comes to a head on December 11.
